WEST LITTLE RIVER, FL – Authorities are investigating a violent shooting incident that left multiple victims injured in the West Little River neighborhood of Miami-Dade County late Tuesday night. The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) has confirmed that at least three victims were struck by gunfire in what is believed to be a targeted drive-by shooting near 8001 NW 9th Avenue.

Chaos Unfolds as Gunfire Erupts in a Residential Neighborhood

Residents in the typically quiet community of West Little River were left shaken after a barrage of bullets shattered the silence just before 11:00 p.m. Witnesses reported hearing rapid gunfire, followed by the sound of screeching tires as a dark-colored sedan sped away from the scene.

Emergency medical services (EMS) and law enforcement responded within minutes after multiple 911 calls flooded dispatch lines. Upon arrival, officers discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds, sprawled on the sidewalk and near the entrance of an apartment complex.

“I heard at least ten shots in rapid succession,” said neighbor Luis Ramirez, who lives two houses away from where the incident occurred. “By the time I ran outside, I saw people screaming and running for cover. Then I saw the victims on the ground. It was horrifying.”

Victims Rushed to Hospital; Conditions Remain Unclear

Paramedics immediately rendered life-saving aid to the wounded before transporting them to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for further treatment.
