From an early age, Kristel exhibited a passion for learning, nurturing others, and excelling in everything she pursued. Her education began at McCutcheon High School, where she demonstrated academic diligence and an enthusiasm for extracurricular activities. She was an involved student, known for her strong friendships and her eagerness to participate in community events.
Following high school, Kristel pursued higher education at Ball State University, where she embraced college life with dedication and perseverance. Kristel was the proud mother of three beautiful children: Elsie S. Hancock, Jaiden R. Hancock, and Decklan E. Isaacs. She was also a devoted stepmother to Jacob’s children, Alivia S. Isaacs and Eli L. Isaacs, whom she loved as her own. Kristel’s home was filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love, as she dedicated herself to creating an environment where all of her children could flourish.

She was actively involved in her children’s extracurricular activities, particularly dance and gymnastics, supporting Elsie’s journey in Dance Moves Gymnastics. She devoted countless hours to the Booster Club for Dance Moves Gymnastics, ensuring that her daughter and her fellow young athletes had the opportunities they needed to pursue their dreams.

- Kristel will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery in Lafayette, where her loved ones will gather to say their final goodbyes.
